Gold prices  slightly declined in local markets during today’s trading, due to a slight decline in the ounce of gold price in the global stock exchange.

Amr El-Laqany, First Vice President of the Gold Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that gold prices dropped by one pound in the local market during today's trading, 21-karat recorded EGP 776, while the gold ounce price recorded $ 1768.

Expectations indicate that gold will rise during the coming period, as a result of investors' appetite for it as a hedge against high inflation rates, due to US economic stimuli to confront the repercussions of the Corona epidemic.

El-Laqany, added that 24 -karat recorded EGP 887 , and 18 -karat recorded EGP 667  , while the gold pound recorded EGP 6216.
