6 Terrorist Elements Killed in 6th of October City

Six members of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist group were killed in an exchange of fire with police during a raid in their hideout in 6th of October city, Egypt’s interior ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the terrorist elements were preparing to carry out a series of terrorist operations in the coming period. October

This comes as part of the Interior Ministry’s efforts to combat terrorist groups and hunt down the terrorist elements who plan to destabilize the state’s security and stability.

Egypt’s security forces have been waging a war over the past four years against an Islamist terrorist insurgency, mostly in North Sinai, that has seen hundreds of security personnel killed, as well as hundreds of terrorists killed in security campaigns.

Noteworthy، Egyptian army has struggled to crush militant violence based in Sinai، which has killed hundreds of police and troops and at times expanded to mainland cities including Cairo.

Egyptian military and security forces have been battling a dangerous insurgency in the north of the peninsula since the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi in June 2013.

The terrorist militants have launched several major attacks، most recently targeting Cairo and other cities with the loss of dozens of lives.
