2nd Edition of GFHS to Kick off in April

The 2nd edition of global forum for higher education and scientific research (GFHS) will be held from 2nd to 4th April, 2020 under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The global forum is organized under the theme of “The Future in Action”

This year’s edition of the forum will discuss latest trends impacting the higher education and scientific research; the forum will not only discuss the challenges but will also propose innovative solutions - having the youth as a priority and at the forefront to verbalize those challenges and showcase the innovations that are being proposed.

The platform will address the overarching topic of equipping the youth for the job market by ways of integrating business-ready models into higher education system.

The discussions in the forum will be geared toward bridging the gaps between the higher education systems and the future workforce dynamics in different fronts on a local, regional, and global levels induced by the new dynamics of the fourth industrial revolution. This is an area that has been one of the priorities of Egyptian higher education institutes aligning with Egypt vision 2030.

The forum will also seek to transcend the national borders to look at higher education from a global perspective across business, political, and civic domains by showcasing the perse experiences of the different stakeholders.

The forum will be attended by more than 100 speakers representing influencers, and practitioners from higher education, scientific research, innovation, government, business, industry, philanthropy, youth, students and media for action-oriented discussions and an eye-opener interventions from around the globe with more than 17,000 registered till this moment coming from 72 countries worldwide.

Throughout the forum many sessions will be held to discuss the following hot topics, including:

The forum will also witness the launch of the first medical education summit (MES) 2020, which would be one of its kind in the world. The medical summit includes more than 30 speakers from different disciplines in health professions education representing different affiliations, universities and international organizations and associations discussing the future practices and trends in the medical education.

In this regard, research competition was announced with prizes more than 600,000 EGP where more than 220 submissions took place from 24 countries. The winning research papers will be published in the social innovation journal & health professions education Journal.

In Parallel to the forum, the global forum will host the 2nd edition of the Youth Talks event. The event will host more than 50 experts, influencers, and executives who have managed to have impact in their fields. They will participate passionately aiming to diffuse their experience and share their stories with the youth to empower, motivate, and inspire.

The discussions aims at empowering youth and building their capacities, and skills to be ready for the new job market challenges.

The forum will also feature an exhibition hosting more than 60 exhibitors representing Private, Public, and International Universities in addition to International cooperation specialized in providing technological and innovative solutions for education, employability, and other related fields. Also the inauguration of the new universities established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research namely El -Galala, New Alamien, and King Salman University with its three branches located at Al Tor, Sharm El Sheikh, & Ras Sedr.

It’s worth mentioning that the last year forum hosted more than 80 speakers, more than 2000 International attendees and 18,000 visitor from more than 55 countries.
