12 plays performed on national theatres in Eid

SEE - August 22nd: The national theatres chose 12 plays to display in the occasion of Eid Aladha this year, where the private ones chose only 4.

The ‘theatre house’ starts today, the second day in Eid, with a music show performed by the national theatre band with a title ‘hayy ala baladna’ (let’s work for our country), in its venue in Attaba. Another show titled ‘hadatha fe belad el saada’ (happened in the states of joy) is scheduled today as well by the modern theatre band which will also perform ‘welad elbalad’ (country’s men) show.

The comic theatre band is continuing to display the monodrama of ‘selfie maa elmoot’ (selfie with death), followed by the play ‘comedia elboasaa’ (the comics of miserables), inspired by ‘the misery’ written by  the frensh ‘Victor Hugo’.

The ‘theatre of tomorrow’s band display the ‘alhadetha’ (the accident) show, where ‘theatre of youth’ display ‘youm moatadel geddan’ (a very moderate day).

In Alexandria, the main national theatre will display “abu kabsula” show on “Beram ElTunisiy” theatre, where ‘cairo puppet theatre’ will display its famous show ‘ellella el kebeera’ (the big night).

The national theatre for kids will display ‘action’ show in Alexandria, and ‘qetat’ (cats) in Cairo.

The ‘shams’ band for the special needs perform ‘w yabka elamr moalakan’ (the issue is still pending) show as well as “layali elshams elmoseqeia” (the music nights of the sun) show which include music pieces, storytelling performances and other art forms.

The theatre house Chief Ismail Mokhtar stated that the shows displayed are varied between new and old famous and popular ones.

He explained that the shows are put on display on different national theatres in coordination with ‘the general organization for cultural palaces’,  ‘fine art sector’ and the cultural programs section at the ministry of youth and sports.

The private theatres display four shows, ‘sebony aghany’ (let me sing) starring Samir Ghanem, shows of ‘masrah masr’ band, ‘elawantagy’ (cheater) which is to be performed in marsa matrouh and ‘araby manzara’ (the showy araby) to be performed in Alexandria.
