Spain booked their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final after defeating France 2-0 in Tuesday's semifinal, securing only the second World Cup final appearance in the nation's history.
Goals from Lamine Yamal and Mikel Oyarzabal sealed victory for Luis de la Fuente's side at Dallas Stadium, ending Didier Deschamps' hopes of leading France to another World Cup final.
The result sends La Roja back to the tournament's showpiece match for the first time since 2010, when they won their maiden World Cup title in South Africa under Vicente del Bosque thanks to Andrés Iniesta's iconic extra-time winner against the Netherlands.
Spain will now look to claim a second World Cup crown when they face the winner of Wednesday's semifinal between Argentina and England.
France, meanwhile, will compete in the third-place playoff against the loser of the remaining semifinal.
The match is also expected to mark the end of Deschamps' 15-year tenure as France head coach before Zinedine Zidane takes over following the tournament.
