At least 21 people have been killed in a devastating road accident in the state of Puebla, central Mexico.
The crash occurred on Wednesday along the highway connecting Cuacnopalan and Oaxaca, involving three vehicles.
According to Puebla's Interior Minister, Samuel Aguilar Balla, who shared the news on social media platform X, 18 individuals died at the scene, while three more succumbed to their injuries in hospital. Several others are currently receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in the collision.
Emergency responders from Puebla and Oaxaca, along with the National Guard and ambulance services, were swiftly deployed to the crash site to assist victims and secure the area.
Authorities have not yet released an official cause for the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
