Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian missile strikes destroyed universities in Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine on Wednesday.

In his evening speech via video, the Ukrainian president noted that the main building, lecture halls, university museum, and scientific library were destroyed.

“This characterizes the Russian invasion with 100% accuracy. When it comes to the definition of barbarism, this strike fits the bill the most. Only an enemy of civilization and humanity can do such things,” Zelenskyy added.

He mentioned that the weapons sent by the Western countries are working efficiently and praised their accuracy.

According to the president, the Ukrainian troops use artillery to destroy warehouses and other targets that are logistically important to Moscow.

Zelenskyy indicated that the losses of the invader will only raise every week, as well as difficulty in sending supplies to them.

In the same context, Oleh Syniehubov previously said that the invading troops launched missiles toward the regional center, killing three people and injuring six others.

He added that a secondary school had also been targeted by the invaders.

"Unfortunately, in the region in the past 24 hours, three residents of the village of Bezruky of the Derhachiv community died as a result of occupiers’ actions. The Russians shelled the village using artillery. Six people were injured," Synehubov said in a Telegram post.
