Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Ukraine is facing a "very difficult" situation in Donetsk region and needs faster arms supplies and new types of weapons to resist Russian attacks.
“The situation is very difficult. Bakhmut, Volidar and other areas in Donetsk region are suffering, there are continuous Russian attacks," Zelensky said in a statement.
“Russia hopes to drag out the war, to exhaust our forces. We have to speed things up." "Speed up the supply and opening of new necessary weapons options for Ukraine," he added.
