Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on Wednesday on statements made by his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in which Putin asserted that Moscow's objectives in the country "will certainly be achieved."
Zelensky indicated that Russia is preparing to wage a "new year of war" in Ukraine in 2026. In his daily address, he stated: "Today we heard a new signal from Moscow indicating that they (the Russians) are preparing to make the coming year a new year of war."
Earlier on Wednesday, Russian President warned that Moscow would seek to expand its gains in Ukraine if Kyiv and its Western allies rejected the Kremlin's demands in peace talks.
