Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the security situation in Europe could deteriorate next year, as Russia might attack other countries.

In a speech delivered, via video link, at the NATO summit held in the Spanish capital, Madrid, on Wednesday, Zelenesky called on allies to "take effective measures to protect Europe's security."

He pointed out that Ukraine needs billions of dollars a month to finance defense efforts, urging allies to continue supporting Ukraine and supplying it with more weapons to help it confront Russian forces.

It is worth mentioing that, NATO summit, currently being held in Madrid, is discussing basic themes; foremost of which, supporting Ukraine, confronting the threat posed by Russia to European security, and launching the new strategic concept of the Alliance for the next decade.
