U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has apologized to U.S. President Donald Trump following a heated exchange between them at the White House.
According to Alhurra TV, Witkoff confirmed on Monday that Zelensky sent a letter to President Trump expressing his regret over what transpired in the Oval Office.
He emphasized that this step was significant and noted that extensive discussions took place among Ukrainian, American, and European teams regarding the issue.
The dispute between Zelensky, Trump, and Vice President J.D. Vance arose due to Washington’s stance on the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
