Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russian forces of killing and torturing more than 300 civilians in Bucha.

"We have just launched an investigation into everything the occupiers have done," Zelenskyy said, according to 'BBC'.

“Currently, there is information about more than three hundred people killed and tortured in Bucha alone. The list of casualties is likely to be much larger when the entire city is checked. And this is only one city," he added.

"There is already information that the number of victims of the occupiers may be higher in Borodinka and some other liberated cities," he noted.

It is worth mentioning that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the situation in Ukraine’s Bucha represents a provocation that threatens international peace and security.

The Russian Foreign Minister added: “We will demand Britain to hold a meeting of the Security Council to discuss the incidents in Bucha,” explaining that circulating images from Bucha on social media is a step plotted by Ukraine and the West.

Lavrov added that the incidents in the Ukrainian city of Bucha were a fake attack.

Earlier, an Al-Arabiya TV correspondent stated that there was great destruction while military vehicles were burned in the city of Bucha, adding that the Russian forces targeted the fuel tanks.

The United States and Canada have condemned the killing of civilians in the Ukrainian city of Bucha.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken condemned what the Russian forces committed in the Ukrainian city of Bucha, saying in a tweet: “We strongly condemn the apparent atrocities committed by the Russian forces in Bucha.. Information will be documented and exchanged to hold those responsible accountable.”

In the same context, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the killings of civilians in the Ukrainian city of Bucha.

“We will remain committed to holding the Russian regime accountable, and those responsible for these horrific attacks will be brought to justice,” Trudeau said in a tweet.
