Iran’s Foreign Minister (FM) Mohamed Javad Zarif stressed that the suggestion submitted by the United States of America (USA) to return to commitments of the nuclear agreement, is unacceptable at all.

Zarif added that the USA should take the first step as the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran  ( Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) has declared.

He pointed out the US suggestion will not be approved in any case.

The Iranian minister went on to say that the Americans can’t erase four years of Iran’s history by a stroke of a pen.

He revealed that he tweeted on Monday to indicate Biden’s tweet in 2019.

Biden expressed sorrow then that the US Department of State asked Iran to return to the nuclear agreement despite Trump walked out of it in 2016.

This matter applies today to Biden himself as the USA does the same of Trump’s deeds.

The Biden administration brings Iran to hard pressures and continues in imposing harsh sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

Zarif announced that the Supreme leader Khamenei spoke frankly that if the USA honors its commitments and returns to the nuclear agreement, Iran will also return to its commitments.

But Tehran should examine the seriousness of the USA.

Iran’s FM  affirmed that his ministry is contacting with parliament (The Islamic Consultative Assembly or Iranian Majles) and adheres to Iran’s laws.

He assured that all authorities in Iran comply with the law as Biden himself obeys Congress.

On the other hand, Russia’s FM Sergei Lavrov said that there is an opportunity to reach a compromise regarding the nuclear agreement between Iran and the new US administration as the latter sends signs to urge optimism.

Lavrov delivered a speech yesterday to the Valdai Forum for Dialogue held in Russia, saying that the Biden administration seeks to find a solution to the current stalemate of the Iranian nuclear agreement.

The Russian minister made clear that Moscow supports resuming the nuclear agreement signed in 2015 between Iran and the 5+1 group without any change.
