Zamalek Egyptian midfielder Emam Ashour signed a four-year and half-contract with Danish side Midtjylland, hours before the closing of this winter transfer window on Tuesday.
Midtjylland's Sports director said the club was pleased at the arrival of the 24-year-old midfielder, who they say has all the requirements they were looking for in a midfielder.
"We have been looking for a midfielder who meets our requirements in Midtjylland. With Emam Ashour, we get an enormously powerful and dynamic midfielder who fits our style of play" Svend Graversen said.
"Emam Ashour already has a lot of experience despite his young age, he has won several trophies in one of Africa's biggest clubs (Zamalek), just as he is a key part of the Egyptian national team that played in the final of AFCON less than a year ago," Graversen concluded.
The 24-year-old midfielder has played 102 games with Zamalek, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists. He won the Egyptian Premier League twice and Egypt Cup title with the Cairo giants.
Ashour was a member of Egypt’s U23 squad that won the African Cup of Nations in 2020. He made his debut with the Pharaohs in November 2021, playing nine games so far.
