Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour announced on Wednesday that the White Knights' presidency election will take place on January 20, 21, and 23 for the year 2022.

In a press conference, Mansour said that the Board of Directors held a meeting yesterday to discuss all the matters regarding the club.

On Monday, the Egyptian Minster of Youth and Sports announced the return of Zamalek board of directors, chaired by Mortada Mansour.

After nearly one year of being suspended from their position, Mansour and his board have officially returned to their positions at the helm of Zamalek.

Former board member Hany Zada had appealed the decision to suspend them.

In May, the Egyptian Administrative Court agreed to have a hearing on the matter. The hearing took place around a month ago and the court agreed to the appeal.

Two normalization committees have taken charge of the club since Mortada’s board removal, the second of which was led by Hussein Labib who departed the club on Monday ahead of the return of Mortada.

Hours later the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports have confirmed the news as the club will now enter the elections period.

On the other hand, Mansour has revealed that he will hold his first meeting after his return on Tuesday morning and will be present at the club starting from the next Thursday.
