Zamalek officials have set the financial conditions for approving the departure of defender Hossam Abdel-Maguid during the upcoming transfer window, after he attracted interest from several foreign clubs recently.
The club's management has settled on a minimum price of $2.5 million for the player's transfer, with an additional clause stipulating that Zamalek will receive $2 million should Abdel-Maguid return to the Egyptian Premier League in the future with any other local club.
Zamalek is keen to maintain its core squad, but the administration is not opposed to the player's departure if a financial offer meets the set conditions, especially given the club's desire to bolster its finances and maximize the benefits of player sales.
The football management is closely monitoring Abdel-Maguid's situation during this period, aiming to finalize the player's status before the transfer window closes.
Zamalek refuses to freeze Hossam Abdel-Maguid, as happened with Mohamed El-Sayed, whose contract ends at the end of the season due to non-renewal, especially since Hossam Abdel-Maguid’s contract is still valid with Zamalek until the end of the 2027/2028 season, in addition to the desire to market the player during the upcoming tournaments to achieve financial benefit from his departure.
