Zamalek Releases Squad for Egyptian Cup Semi-Final

Zamalek released their 22-man squad set to face Tala’a El-Gaish in the semi-final of the Egypt Cup on Tuesday. The White Giants qualified after narrowly beating FC Masr in the previous round.

If Zamalek win their anticipated match up on Tuesday night, they will secure a spot in their third consecutive cup final, where they will face the winner between Al Ahly and Ittihad of Alexandria.

Morocco international Achraf Bencharki didn’t make the team, while a number of youngsters such as Seif Gaafar, Hossam Ashraf and Hatem Sokar were included.

Zamalek Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Abdelrahim Genesh, Mohamed Abogabal and Mohamed Awad.

Defenders: Hatem Sokar, Mahmoud Alaa, Mohamed Abdelghani, Mohamed Abdelsalam, Hazem Emam and Ahmed Eid.

Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Islam Gaber, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Seif Gaafar, Hossam Ashraf, Mahmoud Abdelaziz, Mohamed Ashraf ‘Rouka’, Mohamed Ounajem, Shikabala, Karim Bambo and Mostafa Fathi.
