Zamalek crushed Ceramica Cleopatra on Thursday with two unanswered goals to confirm their leadership of the Egyptian League table.

The White Knights are leading the table with 33 points, six points ahead of second placed Ahly, who crushed Ismaily with two unanswered goals on Wednesday.

Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki opened the scoring for Zamalek in the seventh minute, when Tunisian midfielder delivered a brilliant pass into Bencharki, who got into the penalty area, firing a right-foot shot into the left bottom corner.

13 minutes later, Emam Ashour added the second for the White Knights after unleashing a powerful left-foot shot into the right corner.

The Video Assistant Referee disallowed a third goal for Bencharki in the 68th minute, due to a foul on Emam Ashour from the beginning.

Ahmed Yaser Rayan, Cleopatra's forward, wasted a decisive chance in the 88th minute, when he chipped the ball above Gennish, but the ball went outside of the net.
