Zamalek interim committee filed on Sunday an appeal to the Confederation of the African Football (CAF) against sanction imposed on forward Mostafa Mohamed.

CAF had banned the Egyptian forward for four games, following the incidents, which happened after the CAF Champions League final match between Al Ahly and Zamalek, held in November 2020.

After the match, a quarrel broke out between the White Knights' forward and the Red Devils' midfielder Hussein El Shahat.

In their appeal, the Whites said that they did not manage to play the last 32 champions league encounter against Gazel, after the Chadian withdrew from the game.

It is worth mentioning that Zamalek have been drawn in a tough group, alongside ES Tunis, MC Alger, and  Teungueth FC.
