Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that the intensification of strikes by Ukrainian forces is being carried out under the "direct leadership and supervision of the same entities currently directing similar crimes in the Gulf region."
Zakharova noted that Ukraine is rapidly transforming into a major international hub for arms transit, including the illicit and "black market" arms trade, which poses grave risks to global security.
Furthermore, Zakharova highlighted that the escalating confrontation in the Middle East has thrown the oil and gas markets into a state of turmoil, causing significant damage to the global economy. She explained that the scale of the economic repercussions will depend on the duration and intensity of the conflict.
She also reaffirmed that Russia will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iranian people, who are currently facing severe hardships.
