The Board of Trustees of the Zahi Hawass Foundation for Antiquities and Heritage selected Ali Abo Dashish, Egyptologist and former media advisor to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, as Executive Director of the Foundation.
Abo Dashish obtained his diploma in ancient Egyptian antiquities from the Faculty of Archaeology, Cairo University in 2017.
He is a member of the joint Egyptian archaeological mission headed by Dr. Zahi Hawass in Saqqara, and contributed to many major archaeological discoveries, the latest of which was the discovery of the mortuary temple of Queen Neith in Saqqara.
He served as the media advisor to Dr. Zahi Hawass, the media advisor to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and the media advisor to the Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science. He is also the head of the Culture and Antiquities Department at the English website See.
He trained many students on preserving antiquities and teaching the ancient Egyptian language, in addition to participating in many international events, and has several articles, and appearances in major international and Arab channels and newspapers.
The Zahi Hawass Foundation for Antiquities and Heritage aims to be a research, educational and training center at the local, Arab and international levels. It is capable of spreading cultural heritage among youth and all segments of society, in addition to its major role in attracting expertise in the field of antiquities and cultural heritage, and carrying out many archaeological and scientific events, specialized courses and research grants that serve research and enrich archaeological work.
