The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) launched today the "Zad Al-Izza .. From Egypt to Gaza" convoy, comprising 158 trucks loaded with urgent humanitarian aid destined for the Gaza Strip.
This initiative reflects the ERC's continuous efforts as the primary national mechanism for coordinating aid. The convoy carries over 2,400 tons of comprehensive assistance, including food parcels, flour, relief materials, and essential petroleum products to power hospitals and vital facilities.
It also provides crucial winter supplies such as mattresses and warm clothing to help residents cope with the cold.
Since the beginning of the crisis, the Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a constant presence at the border, emphasizing that the Rafah crossing has never been closed from the Egyptian side.
The organization remains on high alert across all its logistics centers, having coordinated the delivery of more than 800,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid through the dedicated efforts of over 65,000 volunteers.
