Former Al Ahly SC coach, Mohamed Youssef, falsified what is being said about the club's board of directors' agreement with him to succeed the Swiss René Weiler, Al Ahly current coach.

Media reports has been circulating saying that Youssef will be hired as a temporary head coach for the Red devils' football team if Weiler leaves, with Adel Mustafa as a general coach.

Al-Ahly had issued an official statement announcing that Weiler's final situation with the team would be revealed on October 1.

Youssef wrote through his official accounts on social networks:"I am the son of Al Ahly, whenever it needs me, I will be up to the responsibility. I have seen the recent statements about the departure of Al Ahly coach René Weiler and me being nominated to take over responsibility instead of him."

He added: "It is true that training Al Ahly is a dream, for it is pride in itself, however, however, I was amazed at the huge number of statements and their strong spread in most of the social media pages."

He continued: "I cannot comment or say except that nothing of what is said was officially done."

He then concluded: "I am at the service of Al Ahly club wherever it needs my services, like a soldier in the service of his country, and I promise you that I will be up to the responsibility, with the grace of God, your support, and my eagerness to make you happy."
