Veteran Egyptian actress Yousra will no longer participate in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.

She was initially set to participate in the marathon with a series produced by the El Adl Group and scripted by Medhat El Adl and Amin Gamal.

The project witnesses Yousra returning to the tragic genre after participating in the past drama marathons with comedy TV shows “1000 Hamdallah Ala Al Salama” (2023) and “Ahlam Saeeda” (2022).

In a recent interview, producer Gamal  El Adl affirmed that Yousra preferred not to star in any TV project and desired to rest this year.

“I spoke to her more than once to participate in the upcoming Ramadan marathon, but she preferred to rest," he said.

"She is the owner of the company, not the daughter of the company, and I respected her desire.”
