A slew of Arab stars are attached to star in the pro-Palestine play "The Gaza Monologues" in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The creative team behind the event is Sayed Ragab, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Nanda Mohammad, Yosra El Lozy, Mohamed Hatem, Rakeen Saad, and Ahmed Malek, with the musical accompaniment by Mohamed Sami.

"The Gaza Monologues" is staged at Cinema Radio, Downtown Cairo on Friday, December 8 at 8:00 PM.

El Lozy took to Instagram to promote the event, saying: "In solidarity with the Palestinian people and in response to the Palestine-based ASHTAR Theatre’s global call in conjunction with the recent atrocities currently taking place in Gaza; "The Gaza Monologues" will be presented at Cinema Radio on Friday, December 8th at 8PM."

She added, "In an effort to pay tribute to the children and people of Ga za and honor the thousands of lives lost, we dedicate this day to sharing the resilience of the Pale stin ian people in the face of the atrocities they are currently experiencing,".

"All proceeds from this event will be sent through Mersal Foundation to aid the people of Gaza," El Lozy concluded.

On October 7, Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged surprise attack that included a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel by land, sea, and air.

It said the incursion was in retaliation for the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and growing violence by Israeli settlers. The Israeli military then launched Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression has resulted in the martyrdom of 16,015 Palestinians, according to Gaza Health Ministry figures, while 1,200 people were killed in Israel, according to Israeli tallies.

Aid agencies warn that a humanitarian disaster in Gaza is worsening by the hour with most of its 2.3 million people homeless and trapped in a tiny, embattled coastal enclave, with little food, water, medical care, fuel, or secure shelter.
