Egyptian actress Yasmin Abdelaziz will no longer participate in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
She was initially set to participate in the marathon with a series produced by Egyptian Arts Group, owned by producers Remon Magar and Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.
This will be Abdelaziz's first time not to participate in the drama marathon in three years.
The actress participated in the past years with "Dharb Nar", "Elly Maloush Kbeer", and “Wi Neheb Tani Leh”.
This comes after Abdelaziz and her husband actor Ahmed Elawady decided not to be teaming up for new TV or film production in the near future.
In a recent interview, Elawady said: "We made the decision not to team up to give ourselves a chance to participate in the films we wanted to join,".
He stressed they will not participate next Ramadan in a TV production as each will have their own TV series.
Abdelaziz, born on January 16, 1980, is an Egyptian actress and former model. She enrolled in the Modern Academy in Maadi and made her debut at the age of 13 in commercials, which paved the road to her true calling, acting.
Thereafter, Abdelaziz was nominated for roles in cinematic and television productions. She made her acting debut in the 1998 TV series “Kot We Far”.
