WYF2021: Palestinian President Lands in Sharm El-Sheikh

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Egypt late Sunday on an official two-day visit to the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, at the invitation of his brother, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, to take part in the opening of the World Youth Forum's (WYF2021) fourth edition.

Abbas was received in the presidential hall at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport by Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad, a delegation from the leadership of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Egypt and its permanent representative to the Arab League Diab Al-Louh.

The Palestinian president is accompanied on the visit by the Head of the General Authority for Civil Affairs and a member of the Central Committee of the "Fatah" movement, Minister Hussein Al-Sheikh, the head of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Majed Faraj, the judge of Palestine, Mahmoud al-Habbash, the president’s advisor for religious affairs and Islamic relations, the advisor to the president, Mustafa Abu al-Rub, and the president’s advisor for affairs diplomat, Majdi Al-Khalidi.

The WYF’s fourth edition is to be officially inaugurated in Sharm El-Sheikh resort city in South Sinai on Monday, and it shall last until January 13 under the auspices of President Sisi.

According to the WYF's agenda, the first day will conclude the opening ceremony at 1 pm and the World Youth Forum Theatre at 7 pm.
