The World Youth Forum (WYF) had sent a message to all its followers worldwide, urging them to practice social distancing amid the coronavirus outbreak.

In a statement, WYF said: "As the widespread of coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to create global challenges impacting all our lives, we hope that you are taking all measures to stay safe."

The Covid-19 is considered one of the most serious global health threats in decades and has grown to impact the entire world. Countries around the world have been taking all measures to flatten the curve.

Like everyone else around the world, WYF is closely monitoring the developments of the virus and urges everyone to practice social distancing and follow the instructions set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and all the health institutes around the world to protect yourselves as well as your loved ones.

"We would like to thank all those taking the measures to contain this virus, and send a major applause to everyone working in the healthcare sector. We are deeply grateful for their efforts," the statement read.

"Our hearts go out to all those impacted by this crisis," the statement added.
