WWE's Nakamura to Participate at Japan's NOAH's New Year Event

Legendary WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura will participate in a single match against pro wrestling icon The Great Muta during the events of the promotion's The New Year at Budokan on January 1.

Nakamura responded to the announcement, tweeting “This is miracle”.

Keiji Mutoh who is conducting his retirement tour, which is set to end on February 21, 2023 at the Tokyo Dome, will face Nakamura as part of his tour.

His latest appearance was during NJPW’s Battle Autumn tour where he cost The Great-O-Khan his NJPW World Television title match.

In addition, he appeared in a tag team match against Hiroshi Tanahashi.

He is set to have his final match in NJPW on November 20 at the NJPW x Stardom Historic X-Over event, where he will team up with Kazuchika Okada and Toru Yano against  Khan, Jeff Cobb, and Aaron Henare.

Mutoh’s final match will take place on January 22, 2023 at The Great Muta Final Bye-Bye event in Yokohama where he will team up with Sting with opponents yet to be announced.
