On Thursday, World Wrestling Entertainment will return to Australia for the Elimination Chamber in February 2024.
The show was announced by the Australian native and current WWE Women's World Heavyweight Champion Rhea Ripley said in a press conference: "I'm beyond proud to represent Australia every single time I step inside a WWE ring and to bring a Premium Live Event to Perth is a dream come true," she said. "Get ready Australia, because Mami is coming home."
There were reports earlier this week that WWE will organize a stadium show in Australia for the first time since 2018 for a major event.
Optus Stadium is one of the top iconic venues in the country as it has 60,000 seats and it primarily hosts Australian Football League, cricket, and rugby matches.
Taylor Swift, U2, and Guns N' Roses were among the major musical acts who performed in it.
