A few days before waving goodbye to 2019, Here is what happened in Football during the year.

During 2019, Egypt's Zamalek lifted the Confederation Cup for the first time in their history after defeating RS Berkane (5-3) on Penalties on May, 27.

Also, Egypt's U-23 National teams crowned the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations Champions for the first time in the Pharaohs' history after defeating Ivory Coast 2-1 in the final.

Qatar's national team lifted the AFC Asian Cup for the first time in their history after smashing Japan (3-1).

2019 saw glorious moments for Liverpool as they managed to end the year with three trophies.

The Reds claimed the Uefa Champions League title after crushing Tottenham with two clean goals.

They also ended their 14-year wait for a UEFA Super Cup title by beating Chelsea on penalties 5-4 to win the tournament at Vodafone Park Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey on August 14.

The Reds ended the year with another trophy after lifting the Fifa Club World Cup trophy following their 1-0 victory over Flamengo.

Also, Liverpool Star Mohamed Salah smashed a number of records during this year as he became the first Egyptian player to win both Uefa Champions League and Fifa Club World Cup.
