Egyptian world karate champion Hazem Ahmed has completed a high-profile coaching tour across the United States, leading two international training camps in Florida and California that attracted about 250 athletes and coaches from several countries.
The camps focused on advanced kumite techniques, tactical decision-making and elite competition preparation. Participants included members of the U.S. national team as well as athletes from Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil and Colombia.
Ahmed was joined by fellow Egyptian world champion Youssef Badawy, with the pair delivering an intensive program designed to share Egypt's successful coaching methods. Three U.S. national team coaches also attended the California camp, reflecting growing international interest in Egypt's approach to athlete development.
