Reports have emerged regarding Wolverhampton Wanderers’ stance on rumors claiming the club is being sold to an American businessman in a £400 million takeover deal.

According to Sky Sports, Wolverhampton is not for sale, as confirmed by the club’s Chinese ownership group, Fosun International.

The group reportedly rejected a £400 million offer, reaffirming its commitment to attracting new investments but not selling the club entirely.

The American businessman in question, John Textor, is currently facing several legal disputes related to his multi-club ownership ventures.

In July, he was forced to sell his 43% stake in Crystal Palace for £190 million after breaching UEFA regulations on multi-club ownership.

Amid ongoing instability, Textor also gave up management of French club Lyon in June following its temporary relegation to the second division due to financial irregularities, before the club was later reinstated to Ligue 1 by court ruling.

He now faces fresh disputes with his business partners, while a Brazilian court last week overturned his attempt to change the board of directors at Botafogo.
