Palestinian Prime Minister (PM) Mohammad Shtayyeh will arrive in Cairo within hours accompanied by a high-level delegation, according to Ambassador to Egypt Diab El-Louh.

In response to an invitation from the Egyptian Premier Mostafa Madbouly, Shtayyeh will pay an official visit.

The Palestinian ministerial delegation is deemed as the biggest and highest-level in the history of Cairo and Jerusalem.

“This official visit reflects the deep relationship between the two countries’ presidents,” Louh said.

He added that the Palestinian cause has been witnessing one of the most significant turning points in the history amidst an international situation that cannot force the occupiers to abide by international legitimate resolutions.

The visit reaffirms the Egyptian stance and reinforces the brotherly bonds between the two countries.

“Twelve ministers are in the company of the prime minister,” the Palestinian ambassador revealed.

He noted that President Mahmoud Abbas has been instructing that a distinguished relationship with Egypt is a must.

“The delegation includes ministers of foreign affairs, finance, education, public work, health, agriculture, local rule, transportations, communications, and heads of power supply, cabinet office and official spokesperson, along with two portfolios of interior and endowments which are held by the prime minister,” Louh manifested.

He thanked the Egyptian government, president and people for hosting this historic relationship, stating that “the visit will result in executive outcomes."

In March, President Abbas appointed Mohammed Shtayyeh as the prime minister, six weeks after Rami al Hamdallah tendered his resignation from the post and the resignation of his unity government.
