Wimbledon praised the Egyptian Tennis star Mayar Sherif who will participate tonight in Wimbledon 2023 tournament.
The tournament's organizers posted an animated photo of Sherif in an Ancient Egyptian style, captioning: "Like a Queen, coming from the lands of the Ancient Egyptians to Wimbledon. Shining like a diamond in the fields."
Sherif will face the Spanish Rebeka Masarova in a few minutes in the first round of the tournament.
Last month, the Egyptian star became the first Egyptian tennis player to advance to the quarter-final round for one of the masters or pros tournaments.
