Tuesday witnessed the beginning of the Wimbledon 2023 quarter-final contests. This day featured matches for Novak Djokovic, and No. 1 Iga Świątek.
Novak Djokovic had a real battle against seventh seed Andrey Rublev to continue his road to his eighth Wimbledon men's title.
Rublev captured the victory of the first set, however, the Serb fought back to win 4-6 6-1 6-4 6-3.
Djokovic will face Italian Jannik Sinner in the next round. He managed to equal the record of Roger Federer.

Sinner reached his first Grand Slam semi-final after defeating Russian Roman Safiullin 6-4 3-6 6-2 6-2.

Sinner became the youngest man to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals since 2007, although that record will be broken by Carlos Alcaraz or Holger Rune who will meet each other in the quarter-final tomorrow.

Regarding the Women's Singles, Ukrainian Elina Svitolina paid homage to her country with her victory over top seed Iga Swiatek 7-5 6-7 (5-7) 6-2 in the last eight.

Moreover, Markéta Vondroušová managed to advance to her first-ever grand slam semi-final after beating third seed holder Jessica Pegula 6-4 2-6 6-4.
