In line with 2019 World Health Day that matches April 7th, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom, declared, in a statement released today by “WHO”, that half of the world population have no access to the basic health services.

He added that millions of females give birth without a professional nursing and health care, also, millions of children world-wide don’t take the necessary vaccinations against fatal diseases.

The statement stressed that people in different countries are suffering and dying every day because they can’t get treatments for HIV, tuberculosis and malaria.

“Despite we’ve come a long way to overcome leading causes of death, there still be a lot of efforts needed,” the statement clarified.

As this miserable situation is no more acceptable, there is a growing movement to encounter inequality in receiving health care.

WHO stresses that good health care is every one’s right regardless religion, color, age, gender and it’s time for universal health care coverage.

It’s worth mentioning that the World Health Day is a yearly occasion celebrated by all countries on April 7th to call for humans’ rights to enjoy good health and receive proper treatment.

This day also celebrates the date of WHO’s establishment on 7 April 1948 with one clear vision represented in a healthy universe.
