WHO: 12,000 Patients in Gaza Need Medical Evacuation

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that at least 12,000 patients in the Gaza Strip urgently require medical evacuation to save their lives.

This critical situation arises amid ongoing Israeli military operations, which have severely impacted Gaza's healthcare infrastructure, leading to a catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

Israeli forces continue to conduct extensive airstrikes and artillery bombardments across Gaza, resulting in significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction of residential areas.

Entire neighborhoods have been leveled, and essential services are on the brink of collapse due to the blockade and the displacement of over 90% of the population.

The relentless attacks have overwhelmed Gaza's medical facilities, leaving them unable to cope with the influx of casualties and the needs of patients with chronic illnesses. The WHO has condemned orders for the evacuation of hospitals in northern Gaza, stating that such actions amount to a "death sentence for the sick and injured"

The dire situation is compounded by severe restrictions on the entry of fuel and vital humanitarian aid, exacerbating the already catastrophic humanitarian conditions. The international community continues to call for immediate measures to protect civilians and ensure the delivery of essential medical assistance to those in desperate need.
