White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby said on Sunday that the United States is looking forward to scheduling a “face-to-face” meeting in the “next week or so” after the virtual meeting held last week.
The "in-person" meeting comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled an initial plan for an Israeli delegation to travel to the United States to meet with its counterparts on the operation in Rafah, the Hill reported.
The newspaper quoted Kirby as saying, “We held a virtual meeting last week. We expect to hold an in-person (in-person) meeting with the Israelis next week or so."
