The White House said US President Joe Biden's plane will take off from the US to Germany to participate in the G7 summit at the Bavarian Schloss Elmau Hotel on Sunday.

The White House indicated that the US president is expected to arrive in the Bavarian capital, Munich, late on Saturday evening.

Biden is holding bilateral talks with Chancellor Olaf Scholz before the start of the group summit, which will continue until next Tuesday, and after that, the president will travel to the Spanish capital, Madrid, to attend the NATO summit before returning to Washington next Thursday.

It is noteworthy that Germany currently holds the rotating presidency of the group, and the summit will focus on the Russian war on Ukraine and its repercussions.

On Thursday, the United States announced the supply of additional shipments of weapons to Ukraine worth $450 million.

According to the US data, the total value of weapons and equipment that Washington pledged or provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the war four months ago has reached $6.1 billion.
