What Are Sisi's Decisions Announced at WYF2019 Closing Ceremony?

At the closing ceremony of the World Youth Forum, (WYF2019)  in its third edition held between Dec. 14 and 17 in Sharm El Sheikh resort city, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi announced several decisions and important recommendations.

SEENews shed light on these decisions announced on the WYF2019 closing ceremony as follow:

1- The forum's administration has to take necessary measures towards forming partnerships with international forums interested in youth, which enriches constructive dialogues among the world's youth.

2- The National Training Academy is to start establishing a regional center for artificial intelligence that should aim at advancing methods of using artificial intelligence in order to achieve the sustainable development goals.

3- The forum's administration shall launch a documentary competition for young people around the world based on choosing a sustainable development goal and thinking about achieving it.

4- The Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs is tasked with launching an initiative called "Lifeboats" to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal immigration.

5- Launching a 100-word campaign on peace on the forum’s website to promote and support the values ​​of peace around the world for spreading messages of unity and peaceful cooperation among people.

6- Coordination between the forum's administration on one side and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Union for the Mediterranean on the other side to work on launching a "Euro-Med Youth Forum" which shall address challenges facing the Mediterranean countries, supporting best ideas and experiences for the Mediterranean, and discussing the creation of a Euro-Mediterranean region for higher education in the New City of El Alamein, north-western Egypt.

7- The World Youth Forum, in its fourth edition, adopts a strategy for dealing with the technological developments of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, to serve the aspirations of the world's youth.

8- Assigning the organizing committee of the World Youth Forum through the Memorial to the Revival of Humanity Foundation to establish an international center for the purpose of integration of youth and affected groups within post-conflict reconstruction programs and assistance to affected countries.

9- The Egyptian Foreign Ministry and the concerned ministries and agencies in the country are assigned to coordinate with African and international institutions to foster African joint action in the field of food security in order to formulate specific policies to achieve food security in African countries and raise awareness in African societies regarding the utilization of available food resources.

10- Assigning the forum's administration to coordinate with the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Irrigation to implement a simulation on the diplomacy of the participating countries in one river basin, as well as implement workshops on water security.

The WYF2019 was attended by more than 7000 young people from nearly 196 countries.
