West Ham United announced the dismissal of manager Graham Potter following a disappointing start to the 2025/26 Premier League season.
In an official statement released on Saturday, the club confirmed: “West Ham United can confirm that manager Graham Potter has left the club.”
The statement added: “Results and performances across the second half of last season and the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign have not met expectations. The Board believes a change is necessary to improve the team’s position in the Premier League as quickly as possible.”
Alongside Potter, his backroom staff, including assistant coach Bruno Saltor, first-team coaches Billy Reid and Narcís Pèlach, as well as goalkeeping coaches Kasper Ankergren and Lluís Canut Candolin, have also left the club with immediate effect.
The club expressed gratitude to Potter and his staff: “The Board would like to thank Graham and his coaching team for their hard work during their time with the Hammers and wishes them every success in the future.”
West Ham currently sit 19th in the Premier League table with just three points from their opening five matches.
