West Ham coach Manuel Pellegrini expressed his interest in signing Arsenal's midfielder Mohamed El-Neny during this summer transfers.

Pellegrini has tried to sign El-Neny in January, but the Gunners' coach Unai Emery refused this move.

Elneny, who joined Arsenal back in 2016 coming from FC Basel in a deal worth up to £5 million, failed to book his place in the Gunners' starting eleven, especially since the arrival of Emery.

El-Neny preferred playing in the premier league to leaving.

It is worth mentioning that El-Neni participated with the Pharaohs in the 2109 Africa Cup of Nations, but Egypt suffered a shock defeat from South Africa in the last 16 to exit the tournament.
