Bettina Schaller, President of the World Employment Confederation (WEC) and her accompanying delegation met Wednesday with Eric Oechslin, Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO) office in Cairo to discuss aspects of cooperation in areas of common interest.
The two sides discussed the organization’s efforts to combat illegal immigration and vocational training, in addition to discussing joint projects, which help grow the economy, reduce unemployment rates, and work to consolidate the ILO's foundations.
Oechslin said that the ILO is working with local and international partners to combat illegal immigration, achieve social justice at the work place.
On her part, Schaller said that the ILO is considered one of the main partners of WEC, expressing her contentment in cooperation with the regional office for North Africa and the Federation’s branch in Egypt in order to provide fair basics for employment agencies in Egypt and job opportunities for Egyptians in Multinational companies.
