Nowadays, there is a new unethical type of war against nature which is not fought by cutting trees, illegal hunting and capturing of wild animals. It is the war waged using chemical wastes to poison lake waters and eliminate the aquarium life.

Chemical pollution is a problem that poses a threat to the existence of all-natural resources and also human beings. It threatens the wildlife, nutrition sources, water, and natural stability of the Earth.

One example of this is the case of factories devoted to pollute a lake in Argentina's southern Patagonia region which has turned bright pink in a striking.

According to international reports, frightful phenomenon experts and activists put the blame on pollution by a chemical used to preserve prawns for export.

In the same context, the residents of this area have long complained of foul smells and other environmental issues around the river and lagoon.

In a step intended to assist the public to gather information about this issue, international media released on Tuesday a dramatic video showing the effect of chemical pollution on the lagoon that turned pink.

In response to this issue, provincial officials granted authorization for factories to dump their waste instead in the Corfo lagoon.
