Ehab Leheta, manager of the Egyptian National Team decided Saturday to rule out Pharaohs’ winger Amr Warda from the final squad for Uganda’s clash.

The decision was made after consultations with the team’s head coach Javier Aguirre.

He added that the player will appear starting the round of the last 16.

On Friday, Hany Abo Rida, the chairman of the Egyptian Football Association EFA decided to forgive Pharaohs’ winger Amr Warda after Uganda’s clash in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

It is Noteworthy that the EFA’s head decided Wednesday to exclude the 25-year old PAOK player from the Pharaohs` camp for disciplinary reasons.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and team captain Ahmed Elmohamady have expressed their support for their teammate after he was banned from their African Cup of Nations squad.

The seven-time title holders will face Cranes on Sunday, June 30 at Cairo Stadium ( 21:00 CLT).

The Pharaohs has officially qualified for the last 16 of the tournament after they pulled off a 2-0 win over DR Congo in the second round.

Egypt was pooled in Group A alongside Uganda, DR Congo, and Zimbabwe.

Days ago, Warda and other players sent messages that were deemed abusive to a girl on Instagram”.

The incident sparked a major controversy, especially with the announcement of the girl, who says she is acting as a model, receiving threats from Warda.

Warda was previously accused of harassing a fashion model on Instagram and a complaint against him has been filed with Egypt’s Attorney General.

The team’s manager denied the girl`s allegations, confirming that the girl did not provide any form of verbal evidence.

This was followed by accusations from many other girls, through social networking sites.

Following the exclusion decision, Warda quickly released a video in which he apologized for what happened.

The player`s response came, stressing that all the pictures and videos that spread to them were “fabricated.”
