Wali Opens Entrepreneurship Center in 6th October City

Dr. Ghada Wali, Social Solidarity Minister and Chairman of Nasser Social Bank, today, inaugurated the Business Development Services Center in the bank branch in 6th October City.

The event was attended by Ms. Lubna Helal, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt and Dr. Sherif Farouk, Deputy Chairman and Bank Managing Director, the Directors Board, the Central Egypt Bank team and a number of leaders of Nasser Social Bank.

Nile Pioneers group provides a range of non-financial services to improve the working environment of small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Business Development Services Center

The group tackles challenges such as preparing feasibility studies, raising awareness of company types and procedures of founding, appropriate funding for the company and serves as a link between companies and entrepreneurs, supply chains and the local market.

It includes 10 programs that support entrepreneurship. The business development centers provide training and incentive mechanisms to raise the innovation level, technical and administrative through various programs of the initiative.

Also, it provides owners of small and medium enterprises and startups the necessary support from design, development and motivation to continue as well as contribute to the growth of entrepreneurship in the Egyptian market.

Later, Wali launched first charitable investment fund  to support people with disabilities. It is consider the first of its kind in Egypt, a development of the idea of charitable endowment, in which the investment fund documents are subscribed at 10 pounds per document to be presented to the public, companies and organizations and recovered by its owner after three years.

The Fund will be committed to the highest levels of governance and transparency, and the directors’ board will issue an annual report of its activity and publish its financial statements. There will be regular meetings to attend the Fund policyholders.
