Egypt’s U-19 volleyball national team qualified for the last eight at the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship after defeating Nigeria on Tuesday (3-0).
The Pharaohs secured the victory in the three sets; 25-16, 25-20, and 29-27.

They will face Belarus' team, who reached the quarter-finals after crushing Czech 3-0 in the last 16 of the tournament in Tunisia.
The Egyptian team, who qualified for the last 16 as Group D winners, delivered an impressive performance at the tournament as they made an ideal start to their adventure by defeating Germany 3-2 on Wednesday, before beating Argentina 3-1 in the second round of the group stage.
Egypt pulled off their third consecutive victory over Japan on Friday as they secured a 3-2 victory to reap two decisive points during the Pharaohs’ adventure in the tournament. The Group D winners claimed their fourth consecutive win over Mexico 3-0 in the last game of the group stage.
They are looking forward to following the footsteps of Egypt’s U-19 handball national team, who wrote the history and claimed the World Championship title for the first time.
