Germany ended the first set with a 25-17 score before Egypt took the lead in the second set with a 27-25 victory. The Pharaohs cemented their victory with a 25-17 score in the third set.

Egypt and Germany were pooled in Group D alongside Argentina, Mexico, and Japan.

Argentina topped the group after they defeated Mexico 3-1, while the Pharaohs came second with 2 points. Germany ranked third with only one point, whereas Mexico and Japan came in the last two positions with zero points.

Egypt will clash against Argentina in a tasty game on Thursday, while Japan will kick off their campaign in the tournament versus Mexico.

The Pharaohs are looking forward to following the footsteps of Egypt's U-19 handball national team, who wrote the history and claimed the World Championship title for the first time.
