Egypt's U-19 volleyball national team made an ideal start to their adventure in the FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship by defeating Germany 3-2 on Wednesday. The Pharaohs ended the game with a 3-2 victory after a hard-fought match in Tunisia.
Germany ended the first set with a 25-17 score before Egypt took the lead in the second set with a 27-25 victory. The Pharaohs cemented their victory with a 25-17 score in the third set.
The European Champions equalized the scoring in the fourth set as they pulled off a 25-13 win. Both teams went to a decisive set as the Pharaohs managed to end this set with a 17-15 victory to reap the two valuable points at the beginning of the journey.

Egypt and Germany were pooled in Group D alongside Argentina, Mexico, and Japan.
Argentina topped the group after they defeated Mexico 3-1, while the Pharaohs came second with 2 points. Germany ranked third with only one point, whereas Mexico and Japan came in the last two positions with zero points.
Egypt will clash against Argentina in a tasty game on Thursday, while Japan will kick off their campaign in the tournament versus Mexico.
The Pharaohs are looking forward to following the footsteps of Egypt's U-19 handball national team, who wrote the history and claimed the World Championship title for the first time.
