A dramatic video shows the moment a brave Moroccon man broke down a wall with a sledgehammer to rescue an elderly woman from her flooded home in Verviers, Belgium, on Thursday.
The human interest video went viral this week with more than 10 thousand views on Youtube.
In the viral video, the elderly woman can be seen trapped in her groundfloor apartment as floodwaters started rising. The video also shows the Moroccon man using a heavy sledgehammer to break a hole into the wall before pulling her to safety.
Later, the woman was taken to a bed in a higher level of the building where she could rest and relax.
It's worth mentioning that Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany have been afflicted as houses collapsed, streets turned into rivers. Moreover, European citizens trapped on their roofs had to be rescued by helicopters.
